BATTERIES
INSTALLATION
The UNI requires 2 fresh AAA-size (LR03) batteries (alkaline
batteries recommended) :-
1. Remove the battery cover on the back of your UNI.
2. Observe the polarity of the batteries and the "+/-" marks
inside the battery compartment.
3. Insert the batteries.
4. Push the battery cover back in place
Battery Low
If the indicator flash twice slowly after your invoking of any
command, it shows that the battery level is low. You must replace
them with new batteries to ensure proper functioning. When all batteries
have been disconnected, the UNI may require reprogramming.

HOW
TO SET UP THE UNI
- Hold down the POWER and MUTE keys on the UNI simultaneously for 4 seconds until the STATUS
INDICATOR shows a continuous red light, then release both keys.
- Press the SET-UP key.
The STATUS INDICATOR will blink once OFF then ON. (See Figure 2.
opposite)
- To get your TV to recognise the UNI, aim the UNI at
the TV.
- Press the POWER key repeatedly for 2 seconds ON and
two seconds OFF, until
your TV goes into stand
by mode ( i.e. your TV should switch OFF) or
till the search is completed. The UNI will flash slowly twice
per second on the selected device key when you reach the end of
the library.
-
Try the
number keypad to see if your TV switches ON again and the keys work
correctly. If your TV does not switch ON, press the MUTE key and
then the POWER key to repeat the code so that the TV comes ON. Now
try the number keypad.
- If you accidentally skip a code which turned your TV
ON or OFF, you can go backwards by pressing the MUTE key.
- If the code you have found does not work correctly,
repeat steps 3 to 6 until you find a better one. But please make
sure that the STATUS INDICATOR is still RED. If the indicator lights
have gone out, repeat from step 1 again.
- Once you are happy with that most or all of the functions
on your TV work with the UNI, press the SET-UP key once to memorise
the information. The STATUS INDICATOR will blink twice to acknowledge
your command and then turn off. Set-up is now completed!
Note
1. The STATUS INDICATOR
on the UNI will flicker OFF then ON during each press of the POWER
key. The entire search procedure could last up to 3mins.

OPERATING
THE UNI
Once you have set up the UNI, it should operate similarly
to your original remote control and perform most or all of the main
functions. To operate, just aim it at your equipment and press the
required function key. The STATUS INDICATOR flashes during signal
transmission to confirm that a function key is in operation.
Please Note: The UNI
can only duplicate functions that are on your original remote control.
Any extra keys on the UNI which are not on the original will not function.
